Jingle all the way to Christmas Challenge .......

Hi, can you believe that in exactly 3 months it will be Christmas! A few months ago we (Mary and Andrea) decided that this Christmas would be a handmade Christmas for us and instead of buying our gifts we would make them. Well, with only 3 months left to go we have yet to make a single gift and have now redefined our homemade Christmas to mean that we're making all of our Christmas cards instead ha ha!

As we were making our plans (and by that I mean giving up and doing something easier and more realistic!!) we wondered if there were others who need a little help to stay on track with their Homemade Christmas plans - however simple or complex they may be - and decided that the Ribbon Girl could help.  Today is the 25th of September and today and every 25th day of the month we'll be having a Christmas challenge.

Of course we can't have a challenge without a prize and we have a lovely collection of Christmas themed ribbons and embellishments for one lucky person

To have a chance of winning the Christmas prize then simply make a new Christmas craft project, blog about it mentioning this challenge and leave us a link using the InLinkz button at the bottom of this post. The challenge will run until the evening of October 8th UK time.

Some of our Ribbon Girl design team are obviously starting to think about Christmas too and sent these photographs of festive projects this week (lucky for us as we get to share them on the blog today!) so we have some eye candy to inspire you as well as a customer project that just happened to fit in with our plans (thanks Susan)

(Susan is one of our regular customers who was inspired by the party favours in this blog post and she transferred the idea from paper into felt to make an Advent Calendar for her daughter (thanks for the photo India), One felt pouch will be taken from the basket each day during Advent)

We really hope that we can help you to keep on track with your Christmas projects - however large or small they are - and that you will join in with our challenge

**and don't forget that you still have a week to enter our regular Colour Challenge and have a chance to win a minikit and £5 gift voucher from the Ribbon Girl as well as a £10 voucher from Lili Of The Valley**

Colour Challenge #11 ...

Hello, the summer seems such a long time ago and our corner of the world is definitley starting to turn to Autumn now but the Ribbon Girls are back with our regular monthly challenges. We had a break during the summer to give all the Design Team a well deserved break but here we are with September's challenge.  The colours for this month's challenge were chosen by our lovely teamie Jo, and she's chosen greens and browns.  I'm sure you know how the challenge works but just in case you need a reminder - create a new project that fits in with the colour theme and leave us a direct link to your project using the InLinkz button at the bottom of the post. Please don't link to older projects as these won't be entered into the prize giveaway. As always there is no requirement to use ribbons or products from The Ribbon Girl but we'd love it if you do! We have a prize for this challenge and the winner will be picked at random after the challenge closes. The challenge runs for 2 weeks.

We have a fantastic prize for this month's challenge from our friends at Lili Of The Valley, once again Laila and Lisa have kindly given us a £10 voucher to spend in the Lili Of The Valley online store - and have you seen the latest Christmas release?? Oh my goodness whoever wins this voucher will have a hard job deciding which stamps to choose from as they are all gorgeous!

We also have a prize from the Ribbon Girl, a £5 voucher to spend in the store as well as a Halloween mini kit - this Halloween kit is a special Limited Edition kit and is chock full of lovely goodies for all of your Halloween crafts and more!

So, following the theme of greens and browns check out what our talented Design Team have created for your inspiration

Red and Black ........... always smart

Faux silk ribbon ties the most beatiful bows - it feels gorgeous and it's only £0.90 pence per metre!  We're sure our new colours of black and red will be as popular as the other colours of imitation silk ribbon

We're delighted to see the return of the very popular Champagne Silky Crush ribbon which has been out of stock for many months - we've also added this sumptuous red silky crush to the range.

-----------------------------

Don't forget that the Ribbon Girl September colour challenge will begin on Sunday 18th September - the projects made by our mega talented design team are fantastic - please pop back on Sunday and we hope you will join in with the challenge - there will be a lovely prize for the winner!

Look what Lucy made ......

One of our regular customers, Lucy makes really nice things and sells them in her Etsy shop - she used a snowflake charm on one keyfob and sparkly acrylic buttons on the owl - but isn't the gingerbread person just gorgeous - he's a hair snap!   The Ribbon Girl has a nice selection of wool felt squares in various colour combinations

If you would like to see any of your creations which include products from Ribbon Girl featured on this blog or in the gallery at the Ribbon Girl online store, please send me a photograph - crochet, knitting, sewing, in fact anything at all, doesn't have to be a card - check my own blog later today, I will be putting my step by step photos of me making a batch of spicy red tomato and fruit chutney - tastes yummy!!!! I think the only connection to a ribbon shop would be if I added a nice ribbon to give a jar as a gift (after it has matured for two or three weeks)
